The officials of Forest Department on Thursday rescued a bear that fell into a farm well after it invaded into the village in search of food and water at Kanganankulam near Cheranmahadevi town in Tamil Nadu.
P Veldurai, the owner of the farm and former Cheranmahadevi MLA, was alerted by his watchman, who then alerted the forest officials in the morning about the incident.

The officials said that the bear reached the farm in search of food and water after it failed to find in the forest. Previously, villagers also spotted another bear in Moolaikkaraipatti.

A team of forest officials was formed to rescue the wild animal from the well. It took 30 minutes for the team to rescue the three-year-old with the help of a fishnet. After the animal landed on the surface of the well, the three-year-old jumped in joy and made its way into the forest.
